1. Theme:
The subject matter of the competition is "Organic Close-Ups."
All entries must showcase natural and organic elements, such as humans, animals, plants, flowers, fruits, vegetables, insects, or any other living organisms.
The focus should be on the intricate details and textures of these subjects.
2. Entry Requirements:
a. Participants must complete the registration form below to enter.
b. There is token entry fee of just £1 per entry. Any excess revenue to Rissiefest 2024 and selected charities.
c. Participants must submit their entries in print, for judging but can also upload digital versions to feature as part of the RissiFest 'Wonder Wall', which will run on the day and web page.
d. To participate in the competition, it is required that you submit a printed version of your entry.
e. Digital contributions should be uploaded to the website: https://rissifest.com/photography/upload
f. An optional clever, witty caption will add a touch of magic to your stunning shots.
3. Submission Limits:
a. Each participant can submit up to 3 entries.
b. Submissions should be the original work of the entrant and must not infringe on any copyright or intellectual property rights.
4. Eligibility:
a. The competition is open to all photography enthusiasts, regardless of age or location. So no matter if the shot was taken with a Nikon D850 or simply using your phone, you are most welcome to enter.
b. Participants do not have to attend RissiFest to enter the competition, but we encourage you to join us and immerse yourself in the spirit of the event.
5. Closing Date:
Printed entries must be presented on quality paper, A4 being the suggested minimum size and then dropped-off at the Great Rissington Club up until 10:45am on the 16th. September
in suitably sized Envelope [card back is best]. Write your name, caption, email address and mobile phone number on the outside of the envelope and reverse of your picture. Please include the £1 entry fee
6. Judging and Selection:
a. A panel of expert judges will evaluate the entries based on creativity, composition, technical skills, and relevance to the theme.
b. The decision of the judging panel will be final and cannot be contested.
7. Announcement of Winners:
a. The winners will be announced and feature at RissiFest on the 16th September and notified via email by 20th September 2023.
b. All entries will be displayed at RissiFest and may also be featured on the festival's website and social media platforms.
c. Winning entries will be part of a special feature with full credit given to the photographer.
8. Prizes:
a. Exciting prizes will be awarded to the top three entries.
b. Prizes are non-transferable and cannot be exchanged for cash.
9. Display of Entries:
a. By participating in the competition, entrants grant RissiFest the right to display their submitted entries during and after the event.
b. Digital entries uploaded to the website may be featured on the festival's official website or social media pages for promotional purposes.
10. Usage Rights:
a. The copyright of the submitted photographs will remain with the entrants.
b. However, by submitting their entries, participants grant RissiFest non-exclusive rights to use the images for promotional purposes related to the competition or future RissiFest events, with appropriate credit to the photographer.
11. Conduct:
a. Participants are expected to adhere to ethical and respectful photography practices.
b. Images that are offensive, contain explicit content, or violate the rights of any individual or group will be disqualified.
